I was trying to setup my VPN on Gnome but the only option I had was to import from file which I obviously didnt have. I wanted to add the information automatically.
Apparently this is bug in Gnome that sometimes occurs. Heres how to get to the page you want to be at where you can add and customize your settings for connections including VPN's. Run this command in your terminal.
nm-connection-editor
A window will popup with the functionality you were seeking.
